Some info which is good to know when booking accommodation when touring.
I use booking.com regularly on motorcycle touring travels, and nowadays prefer to book accommodation on the day to leave plans flexible, potentially to benefit from cheaper accommodation, but also to avoid my historical marathon accommodation booking session at home before departing.
While forward planning accommodation might give you a good feeling of having things sorted, it means you are tied to a schedule or you have to cancel when things go wrong. And I've had things go wrong more than once! 😁
Anyway, the key takeaways for me here are:
