The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride - 17th May 2026, starting at BMM Gaydon and ending at Caffeine and Machine, Ettington.
I’m involved this year with JLR and Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) organising team to run the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride, Gaydon, all proceeds going to Men’s Health and Mental Welfare, with Movember.
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) is a global motorcycle event raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men's mental health. Partnered with Movember, the event features dapper-dressed riders on classic motorcycles to combat stereotypes and support, with over £36m worldwide for research and suicide prevention since 2012. The event runs across the globe, in pretty much every country in the world, and is easily the largest event of it’s kind.
This will be the third year we have run this event. The first year we had 167 entries with the oldest rider being 88 on a 1928 Raleigh and the youngest 18 on a 125cc machine. Last year we had 231 riders on a wide range of machines from mopeds, classic bikes and scooters through to hand-built custom machines. Globally there were over 127k riders, the biggest turnout so far, raising close to £5.8m in donations.
Starting at the British Motor Museum on the morning of Sunday, May 17th 2026 and travelling as a cavalcade via Stratford town centre and then onto Caffeine & Machine, Ettington. Last year we had 231 riders and machines and raised a sizeable sum for Men’s Health Awareness partnerships, including Prostate Cancer and Movember Partnership.
All riders and their supporters are welcome and anyone who wishes to support the event as with a specialist focus around safety, mental health, men’s health and welfare and suicide prevention would be most welcome. The event is free to join. We just ask riders to register through the DGR Gaydon link - Gaydon | The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.
