Autumn Update from the Chair
Ian Collard, Monday, 20 October 2025
AUTUMN!! Another year is flying by. It seems like the warm weather has left us for now and the leaves are falling. There’s still some enjoyable riding to be had but beware of those leaves!!
The club continues to be very active, the Club Sundays are well attended both for training and the ad-hoc social rides. Do come along whether you fancy a ride out, usually to a local eatery, or maybe a skills refresh there are things to do (see Post Test Training).
The social nights are also well attended and it’s worthy of note that 3 of the last 4 have been presented by members. Thanks to Dave Shakespeare and Nev Pugh for their efforts in giving us exceptional and interesting evenings. Nev is building quite the reputation for pulling the proverbial rabbit out of the bag and Dave still has the award for bringing along the only demonstration device that needed part of the car park to be closed off. November 12th sees Scott Richardson telling us about his life as a motorcyclist and Isle of Man TT racer.
The NEC Bike show (MCL25) is almost upon us. IAMRS will be there, and I’m led to believe it will be bigger and better than ever. There is talk that Triumph, to name just one, has a number of new models, so we’ll see. Fingers crossed!!
There’s still a couple of months of 2025 left to enjoy our riding. Whether it be on one of our many social rides or some training, let’s make the most of the mild, if not quite summer, weather.
Finally I’d like to just say that the committee does not have a monopoly on ideas and should any member have any thoughts, or concerns, that they feel could improve the club I can be contacted at punve@pjnz.bet.hx or speak to any committee member.
The photo is especially for Nick Lilley. I may be persuaded to take you there.
Safe Riding
