September Club Night
Ian Collard, Saturday, 13 September 2025
A somewhat tardy report in comparison to Mr Lilley’s usual efficiency but here goes:
Numbers were somewhat depleted, but those that were able to attend hopefully enjoyed the evening. The proceedings started with two test pass presentations: Paul Owen presented an IAMRS test pass certificate to his former associate Andrew Moseley and Les Congden presented his to Anthony Milwain. Very well done both, a great achievement.
The main event of the evening was the quiz, expertly put together and presented by Nev Pugh. The audience divided themselves into teams and off we went. Questions were mostly motorcycle related and the thinking caps were deployed and everyone got stuck in. However, the question relating to the nickname for a Honda Fireblade got a somewhat dubious answer which I’ll not mention here. The curious among you can ask Steve Krikler yourselves, if you so desire.
The winning team were Mark Lunt, Steve Krikler (dodgy answer aside) and Les Congden who were not only the heroes of the night but also won a box of the same which they promptly shared with everyone.
Thanks to all those that attended, but especially to Nev for putting the quiz together and presenting it.
Another successful evening.
Ian Collard
