Rideouts are CWAM’s opportunity to hit the open road and come in all shapes and sizes
from a local run of a couple of hours to all day tours further afield. There is enough information on the Events Diary for you to decide if the run is for you
although more information can be obtained from Trevor Smith. Run Leaders ensure there are sufficient fule stops and comfort breaks on the way.
Ride outs offer associates an opportunity to improve their confidence as they see the more
experienced riders in action. Most just go along for the fun of it but they may choose to pair up with an observer and treat some or all of the trip as an observed
ride. For full members, there're a good excuse to eat up the miles with their mates. Whether a full or associate member,
as with all CWAM group activities, they are above all, an occasion for socialising and enjoying yourself.
Format of run
Riders need to arrive with a full fuel tank of fuel in time for the briefing which takes
place 10 minutes before the off. Unless advertised as a GBH (Green Badge Holder) run, all rides are deemed suitable for Associates of any standard but please let the
run leader know if you are short on group riding experience. IAM RoadSmart state that a legal helmet with suitable eye protection, motorcycle clothing, gloves and
footwear that offer impact protection must be worn when riding.

Generally held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, CWAM Club Social Nights are very
popular and a full house is often the norm. They enable the group to meet socially in the very comfortable surroundings of the Jaguar Social Club and are an
opportunity to talk bikes and gain a bit of bike related knowledge from our guest speakers. Our Social Nights are totally inclusive and friends and family are always
welcome. A regular speaker is Jim Sampson, our resident police advisor but the variety on offer over the years has been impressive, just take a look at the list
below. Our guest speakers, whose expertise offers a fascinating insight into topics we, as bikers are interested in, give their time and enthusiasm freely. Please
come along and support them
